Cinnamon For those of you Seinfeld fans, do you remember Jerry's shtick on cinnamon? If not, I'll refresh your memory: "Cinnamon. It should be on tables in restaurants along with salt and pepper. Anytime someone says, 'Ooh, this is so good - what's in this?' the answer invariably comes back, "cinnamon." Cinnamon. Again and again. "

Dubbed the "winter super spice" by the SuperFoods RX website, cinnamon offers some solid health benefits. According to this site, a half teaspoon a day has been proven to regulate blood sugar and lower cholesterol. Like Seinfeld, I always knew there was something magical about cinnamon. My favorite spice just got even better!

So remember cinnamon when you cook and bake for your family. Add it to your coffee, yogurt, oatmeal, cookies, smoothies, bread, toast and more.
