At least it is not for my toddler. There must be someting with the color "green" for these tots. It causes them to snub the food before even trying it.
This has been a constant challenge for us. Look, mommy sauteed haricot verts in butter and garlic for you. She answers with a resounding "No" and flings the greens on the floor. Foiled once again. Leaving me to eat the remainder of her dinner (hey, at least I'm eating veggies for my first meal of the evening).
I have tried many ways to present and disguise greens, so here is the current list of acceptable greens in our household:
- Fresh (not frozen) spinach or arugula sauteed
- Frozen broccoli cooked in butter
- Frozen green peas
- Frozen (not fresh....interesting??) green beans are a mixed bag -- sometimes yes and sometimes no
- Edamame (she actually loves an edamame pesto that I make. I'll post that recipe later).
Then, there are some weeks where the only green item I can get her to eat is SnapPea Crisps, her current favorite snack. They are a baked snack composed of pureed snap peas. I convince myself that at least she is eating SOMETHING green. Sometimes, though, I think they taste too good to be baked. Here is a link to the nutritional information.

The only danger is that you will like them, too. I ate an entire bag myself yesterday.

i can eat 2 bags without flinching. but not without feeling sick.
